One could, perhaps, consider the Center and where it sits in terms of Left and Right wing politics by grafting onto this vocabulary ideas which are common to eastern spirituality, as well as the occult.
In the eastern thought, the Right, in a metaphysical sense, represents what is known - that toward which one should be working, a striving toward the source of life. It respresents tradition and one's striving toward the correct path. This is known as the Right Hand Path.
The Left, on the other hand, represents
Charlottesville, Sacramento, Berkeley — we’re watching a microcosmic re-enactment of Weimar Republic brownshirt-vs.-reds violence in real-time, complete with the same flags being flown.
'Jews are an ethno-religious people distinct from Europeans. At various times, they have existed within European societies, without being of them.
Proposition: Both Left and Right are politicizations of the apolitical. They take features of life which would happen without the state and include the state to protect them.
The Right is nothing if not a reaction to extreme political turbulence. It is what happens when power wishes to resacralize the seat of its vacant sovereignty. The Right would like to go back, but are left ever to go forward into a world which has left room for it only as one pole on the axis of modern antagonism.
A true synthesis of the Left and Right in politics would be something like fascism: Right Wing cultural sentiment implimented coercively through the violence of Left Wing mechanics.
That, or it would be Libertarianism: classically Right Wing economics with the Left Wing proggressive over-determination of mankind's unquestionably equal agency in the face of the free market (a secular stand-in for Free Will).
The real Center would not be a synthesis, but rather, something politically akin to the 'middle path' referred to in the far east. In spiritual terms, one could say this is a position which recognizes being as superior to effects or to becoming. It centers the attention of the subject so that it may always remain in balance. To balance, one needs something to balance between.
This could, perhaps, only be accomplished through an attitude of apoliteia, ironically. Life itself must become the issue, not ideologies or means of adequately predicting the economy.
For this to be an option, society would be designed in such a way that people would be encouraged to strive for the highest agency they could, thus managing their own lives, putting them in agreement with others who want the same.
The impulses which created the Left and the Right are far older than either. Both have their uses, but the modern world sees both as only able to exist at the expense of one another.
In a culture where everyone is encouraged to maximize agency over themselves, it is more likely that people will be able to freely associate, thus being able to develop whatever kind of organization and economy that suits them best.
What could possibly represent modernity more than the one who revolts against it? One isolates a set of behaviors as degenerative, bound for self-destruction, and nevertheless counts them as necessary and inevitable. An individual consciousness may not be in the position to count itself on the right side of physics, though being on the wrong side of history could in itself indicate that one is, in fact, on the right path.
The Left and the Right rely on a fictional historical authority to augment the natural necessity of their positions. The Left, saying nothing of chiefs and hierarchies though they existed, will push the line about primordial communism. Likewise, the Right appeal not to the economic primordial condition, but a set of cultural values out of which their lineage has somehow kept an unbroken chain of tradition all this time.
If the dissident Right has a blind spot right now, it's in their antinomian streak. They're like Satanists having fun scandalizing Christian Reaganites, all the while requiring a direct inversion of their language to do so.
Perhaps one day we will forget the parlaimentary seating arrangements which occurred after the French Revolution, but until then, we have at least some psychological means of measuring the distance between Left and Right (no matter how absurd the distinction is at the end of the day).
Trump wants to secede in small, categorical ways. California wanting secession is the Left speeding up the process that most of the Right has always wanted anyway. The American Left is starting to get over its equation: Leftism=Globalism. Secession will soon no longer be associated with racism, but with collections of affinities.
For people worried about the immigration issue, immigrants integrating into smaller, independent and sovereign communities would likely go a lot smoother.
